[edit] Route description
Interstate 481 begins at I-81 in Onondaga. It proceeds westward before traveling between the Clark Reservation State Park and the Drumlins Golf Club. From here, it turns northeast while traveling near the Butternut Creek Golf Course. It heads north, soon intersecting a concurrency with Route 5 and Route 92. It soon travels west of the Ceder Bay Park as it exits Jamesville and enters De Witt. Soon after, it intersects Interstate 690 before intersecting Route 290. It crosses a pair of train tracks, then it has a cloverleaf interchange with Kirkville Road. Interstate 481 then intersects Interstate 90 (the New York State Thruway). It continues north, and intersects Route 298. It travels by Maxwell Park, and crosses a small lake. It then turns northwest, then west, and ends at I-81/NY 481 in North Syracuse.[3]
