ITS, International Talent Support, is a competition for emerging fashion and accessories designers and fashion photographers. It was created in 2002 by EVE srl and is based in Trieste, Italy.
ITS#FASHION This is the core of International Talent Support. Throughout the years it has become an established and world renowned competition. In the beginning ITS was only a fashion competition and fashion is still a big part of our DNA. It's also the starting point from which the other contest areas were developed. We would have never gotten this far without the help of a major brand like DIESEL. They have been with ITS from the very beginning and give us tangible support, also through the assignment of the Diesel Award, a juicy prize for one of the fashion competition finalists. ITS is and will always be a contest for young fashion designers and recent graduates from fashion schools the world over. Because of the closely connected accessories competition, the fashion area of ITS has become even more specific and narrows down to the design of clothes. The launch of the new edition of ITS in December coincides with the opening of enrolment for the fashion competition. The deadline to enrol is the end of March. In April the pre-selections take place and the finalists are selected. The ITS#FASHION finals are in July. About 20 finalists will be selected to fly to Trieste, Italy in July for a collective fashion show. ITS#SEVEN will be a showcase of the highest expressions of creativity from the most representative schools on the planet. ITS is a real point of connection between fashion schools and the fashion industry and all of the work placements, internships and special projects granted to the finalists after the event are there to prove it. We cooperate regularly for work placements with brands like Diesel (of course), Antonio Marras, MaxMara, John Galliano, Armani, Viktor & Rolf, only to mention a few. i-D magazine, a long time friend of ITS, offers an award to the collection with the most interesting styling, while Maria Luisa, owner of the renowned Maria Luisa boutiques in Paris, confirms her leading role in promoting up and coming designers giving one of the finalists the opportunity to display their collection in her shop windows during Paris Fashion Week
ITS#ACCESSORIES Together with the fashion competition that is the core of ITS, ITS#ACCESSORIES completes the spectrum on the most creative young talents in fashion with a dedicated contest for all accessories design graduates and young accessories designers. It is organised in partnership with YKK, a leading multinational company in fastenings that strongly believes in supporting creativity. The accessories competition allows YKK to explore all of the out-of-the-ordinary creations that can be produced with their fastenings. 12 to 15 accessories designers will be selected for the finals. They will fly to Trieste, Italy in July and their accessories will be displayed in a dedicated exhibition. ITS#SEVEN will be a showcase of the highest expression of creativity from the most representative schools in the planet. The launch of the new edition of ITS in December coincides with the opening of enrolment for the accessories competition. The deadline to enrol is the end of March. In April the pre-selections take place and the finalists are selected. The ITS#ACCESSORIES finals are in July. There will be technical support available for accessories finalists for the production of their collections thanks to supporters like Salvatore Ferragamo for shoes and bags. Other top level companies will give support for softwear and hardwear. Finalists will therefore have the chance to learn the stages in the production process directly from the leaders in the field. A truly amazing formative experience. Finalists will compete for two awards. The winner of Accessories Collection of the Year will receive € 10,000 and will be asked to create a new accessories collection to be presented at ITS#EIGHT. The winner of the YKK Award will receive € 10,000 and a professional photographer will shoot an image of the winning YKK accessory to be used for promotional purposes. windows during Paris Fashion Week. i-D and Maria Luisa have always picked the winners from the fashion competition finalists, but at ITS#SIX both decided to assign their awards to an accessories finalist. So, who knows? You might be the next one to change their mind!
ITS#PHOTO The photo competition of International Talent Support is now in its fourth year and is becoming an important observatory to find talented, creative and highly prepared young photographers, able to shoot images that can easily find their place in the most important lifestyle and photography magazines. The competition is organised in partnership with MINI, a brand that has as its trademarks design and uniqueness. MINI is very active in the promotion of the freshest and highest expressions of creativity. Contestants will be asked to produce a series of images on the theme "The Other". 10 to 15 finalists will be selected from the most important photography schools on the planet and will fly to Trieste, Italy in July for the finals. Their photos will be displayed in a dedicated exhibition in the location of ITS#SEVEN and viewed by all the guests of the event: international press, opinion leaders, professional photographers and many more. The artistic director and curator of ITS#PHOTO will be Denis Curti, director of the photo agency Contrasto. The launch of the new edition of ITS in December coincides with the opening of enrolment for the photography competition. The deadline to enrol is the end of March. In April the Preselections take place and the finalists are selected. The ITS#PHOTO finals are in July. ITS is a chance for you to meet the professionals in the field and show them what you are made of. It gives you amazing visibility and allows you to showcase your work in front of the most important international press, opinion leaders and professionals from the world of photography. It is the opportunity to build important connections for your future and work for important magazines and companies. Your pictures could end up in editorials in magazines like GQ or V-Mag. You could even work with these magazines directly on projects, like last year's finalist Maria Giulia Giorgiani who travelled for one week together with Italian photography icon Gianni Berengo Gardin driving the new MINI Clubman in search of uniqueness in Tuscany. But that’s not all. The photos of the travel have been showcased in an exhibition in Milan, during Fotografica, the photography festival organised at Forma by Contrasto. Also, being selected as a finalist means you have already won, because we will continue to support your career and help you out for as long as we exist. Prizes up for grabs are: the MINI Clubman Photo Award, € 10.000 and the opportunity to participate in the production of a photo shoot to be published together with a dedicated article in a renowned magazine. The focus will be the back doors of the MINI Clubman, that open new worlds in the search for “The Other”. School of Visual Arts is offering the SVA PhotoGlobal award: the winner receives a scholarship to the one year intensive PhotoGlobal photography course at School of Visual Arts in New York City. Pitti Immagine is offering the Pitti Immagine Photo Award: 2 winners will have to create the advertising campaigns for Womenswear Fairs that Pitti organises in Milan. ITS and MINI have decided to open the competition to all photography lovers. There is no limit whatsoever regarding age, nationality, education, experience or ability. As long as you have a camera and a finger to click the shutter, you’ve got what it takes!
ITS#PHOTOweb will be an online branch of the ITS#PHOTO competition accessible to everyone. Simply go to the following website and carefully follow the instructions: [www.itsphotoweb.it www.itsphotoweb.it]. You will be asked to produce a series of images on the theme “The Other”, just like the contestants of ITS#PHOTO are asked to do. You will have to upload your photos on the ITS#PHOTOweb website in the requested format. In April, a dedicated Jury will select a winner by choosing amongst the projects that were uploaded on the ITS#PHOTOweb website. The lucky winner will become a finalist of the ITS#PHOTO competition. He/she will join the other photography finalists and fly to Trieste in July to compete in the finals! And this is not all! Another 5 winners will be selected. They will win free tickets to be guests of ITS#SEVEN!
