International Stakes (Ireland)

The International Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile and 1 furlong (1,811 metres) at the Curragh in July.

Before 1991 the race was run at Phoenix Park as the Phoenix International Stakes. It was downgraded to Group 3 status in 2004 having been classed previously as a Group 2 race. Prior to 2007 the distance of the race was 1 mile (1,609 metres), except for 1999 to 2001 when it was contested over the present distance.
