The International Oblate Youth Encounter is the gathering of Oblate Youth from around the world in preparation for World Youth Day, Sydney, 2008. It is helpd on July 9-13 at Mazenod College in Mulgrave, Victoria.
The Oblates of Mary Immaculate work in 63 countries and just over 40 will be represented at the Encounter.
The Encounter will have two public events within its programme. The first is an Interfaith Peace Ceremony at Federation Square in Melbourne on July 10 and the second is a way of the Cross at St Mary's Seminary on July 11.
There are expected to be 800 pilgrims.
