International Institute of Tropical Agriculture

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) was established in 1967 as a non profit organization to find solutions for hunger and poverty through research for development activities. IITA has its headquarters in Ibadan in Nigeria and several research stations across Africa. Currently, a network of over 100 international scientists based in its various stations are helping find solutions for hunger and poverty through research for development activities. IITA is one of 15 centers principally supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research.
