[edit] History
Mike Bickle resigned from his position as pastor and over the next sixteen years established a public intercessory ministry that operated for three to four hours a day throughout the week. This ministry eventually led to the founding of the International House of Prayer and the Global Prayer Room. In 1999, the International House of Prayer announced its twenty four hour a day schedule four months after signing a lease for a 200 seat building close to the church [1].
The International House of Prayer in Kansas City now has over 400 staff members and 700 Forerunner School of Ministry students.[citation needed]
