International Dance Council

The International Dance Council (CID, standing for French: Conseil International de la Danse) is an umbrella organization for all forms of dance in the world. It is a non-profit international non-governmental organization founded in 1973 within the UNESCO headquarters. Its headquarters are in Paris. CID advises the UNESCO, national and local government agencies, international organizations and institutions.
Its membership is both for organizations and individuals with sufficient credentials in dance. Currently it is represented in over 120 countries.
