International Bartenders Association

The International Bartenders Association, founded on February 24, 1951 in the Saloon of the Grand Hotel in Torquay, UK, is an international organization established to represent reputedly the best bartenders in the world.[1]
An annual event, both World Cocktail Competition (WCC) and World Flairtending Competition (WFC) were presented and organized by the IBA. The IBA also sanctions a list of official cocktails. In 2006, the competitions were held in Meliton Porto Carras Hotel, Halkidiki, Greece from October 6, 2006 (for the 32nd annual WCC) to October 7, 2006 (for the 7th annual WFC).[2]
