Interjet is a low-cost airline based in Toluca, Mexico. It operates scheduled services between Toluca and 12 Mexican cities. Its main base is Lic. Adolfo López Mateos International Airport, Toluca.[1]

The airline started operations on December 1, 2005 and is wholly owned by the Aleman Group.[1] It started scheduled operations with a fleet of seven pre-owned Airbus A320 aircraft.[2]

- It is currently leasing seven ex-Volare Airlines 150-seat Airbus A320-214s from GATX pending delivery of 16 new aircraft from 2008. Interjet also holds ten options for A320s.[citation needed]On January 10, 2007, Airbus announced that Interjet converted ten options for A320s to firm orders. [4]
- Interjet has taken delivery of its first new Airbus A320 aircraft, the first 4 of 20 ordered, for use on its domestic network.[2]
