Intellitouch Tuner

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Intellitouch Tuner is a tuner that can clip on to any instrument such as a guitar or a violin. This tuner is special because it can pick up the vibrations of the note when played. For example, when you want to tune a guitar you pluck the E, A, D, G, B, e to tune and turn the tuning pegs. For this you do that except instead of tuning from the sound, it tunes from the vibration of the string. This is called Piezo. The Intellitouch Tuner uses a Piezo tuner to determine whether the string is sharp or flat.

The Intellitouch Tuner is mainly used for guitar instruments such as the acoustic guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar etc. However you can still use the Intellitouch Tuner on a stringed instrument such as the violin or a cello. It uses the same principle as the guitar using the Piezo tuner to determine whether a note is sharp or flat. For the cello or violin, you put it on the bridge for best results.
