Intel Schools of Distinction

The Intel Schools of Distinction Awards is a national education awards program sponsored by the Intel Corporation that recognizes K-12 schools in the United States that have demonstrated "excellence in implementing innovative, replicable programs supporting positive educational outcomes in the areas of math and science achievement" based on the standards laid out by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills.

2007 winners received cash and supplies worth over $170,000.[1]
Six winners were selected as winners in 2007; one for math and one for science in each grade range (K-5, 6-8, and 9-12):

The program in 2006 was called the "2006 Intel and Scholastic Schools of Distinction Awards", in conjunction with publisher Scholastic Corporation. The 2006 program recognized 16 elementary and high schools nationwide. Winners were chosen in each of eight categories: academic achievement, literacy achievement, mathematics achievement, science achievement, technology excellence, leadership excellence, professional development, and collaboration and teamwork, with one elementary school and one secondary school selected in each category.[2]
