That is a very impressive list of contributions! I noticed it when I was looking at a list of nonfree images used in user space. Our nonfree image policy, specifically WP:NFCC#9, doesn't allow nonfree images in user space. You can link to the image page from your gallery, but the policy requires that the nonfree images themselves can't be displayed. — Carl (CBM · talk) 19:13, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. Would you consider making a contribution to an exchange of views at either of the following:

As you may know, Wikipedia:WikiProject Disaster management came up with entirely reasonable guidelines for naming articles about earthquakes, fires, typhoons, etc. However, the <<year>><<place> <<event>> format leaves no opportunity for conventional nengō which have been used in Japan since the eighth century (701-1945) -- as in "the Great Fire of Meireki" (1657) or for "the Hōei eruption of Mount Fuji" (1707).

In a purely intellectual sense, I do look forward to discovering how this exchange of views will develop; but I also have an ulterior motive. I hope to learn something about how better to argue in favor of a non-standard exception to conventional, consensus-driven, and ordinarily helpful wiki-standards such as this one. In my view, there does need to be some modest variation in the conventional paradigms for historical terms which have evolved in non-Western cultures -- no less in Wikipedia than elsewhere. I'm persuaded that, at least in the context of Japanese history before the reign of Emperor Meiji (1868-1912), some non-standard variations seem essential; but I'm not sure how best to present my reasoning to those who don't already agree with me. I know these first steps are inevitably awkward; but there you have it.

The newly-created 1703 Genroku earthquake article pushed just the right buttons for me. Obviously, these are questions that I'd been pondering for some time; and this became a convenient opportunity to move forward in a process of building a new kind of evolving consensus. --Ooperhoofd (talk) 18:28, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Template:FLOTUSgallery requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

A tag has been placed on Image:Bebe Neuwirth at BCEFA.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Hi. I see you moved the Tsutenkaku article to Tsũtenkaku with a tilde. Was there any particular reason for using a tilde instead of a macron normally used for long vowels in romanized Japanese? I tried to move the article to the more correct Tsūtenkaku myself, but this no longer seems to be possible without admin assistance. If you have no objections, I'll post it to Wikipedia:Requested moves as an "Uncontroversial proposal" later so that an administrator can tidy everything up. --DAJF (talk) 14:59, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

OK, I guessed it was probably an accidental slip of the mouse. I have posted it to Wikipedia:Requested moves so that an administrator can move Tsũtenkaku to Tsūtenkaku.
