[edit] Jack on fire proposed merger
Jack on fire fails to meet notability on its own merits; its biggest claim is that members of the band are members of Institut Polaire. It makes sense that that article should be moved into this one with a small section on side projects. Reasonable? —C.Fred (talk) 23:33, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
It's not a side project though, it's full band to which Blakeney will be devoting 100% of his focus in the very near future. Institut Polaire is merely an affiliation. He will be on RTR 92.1 rtrfm.com.au this Thursday morning promoting Jack On Fire and playing a live set. Garthpalmer 08:12, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
As for the suggested lack of notability, this has already been addressed by the following post: "From the notability guidelines for musicians, "Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such". I'm going to remove the speedy notice. Darksun 10:22, 14 August 2007 (UTC)" Garthpalmer 15:04, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- Which I agree with fully, especially the part that says "it is often most appropriate to use redirects." That's why I've proposed the move. —C.Fred (talk) 16:47, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
It's not a side-project though. The bands are very different in style and would largely attract different audiences. I'm not going to argue anymore, clearly you have a problem with this being up on here so delete it... I'll put it back up in 3-6 months once JoF establishes it's own "notability". - Fair enough. Jof is now up for AfD. —C.Fred (talk) 16:21, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Citywalls.jpg
Image:Citywalls.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
