Instituto Tecnológico de Villahermosa

Instituto Tecnológico de Villahermosa (Villahermosa Institute of Technology, also known as ITVH) is an institution of higher learning located in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. This institute is one of the two most important universities in the Mexican state of Tabasco (the other is Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco). The main purpose of the Institute is to give students a high-quality education in the fields of science and technology.

Instituto Tecnológico de Villahermosa was founded on September 12, 1974, as a program of the federal government to improve the professional knowledge and use of technology in Tabasco state. In 1979 the institute moved to its current site in the north of the city of Villahermosa. In 1992 the modernization of the institute began; the quality of buildings and education was greatly improved.
