Instituto Mexicano de la Radio

The Instituto Mexicano de la Radio (English: Mexican Radio Institute) is a Mexican public broadcaster, akin to National Public Radio in the US. It is also known as Grupo IMER. Its slogan is "Inteligente Manera de Escuchar Radio" (English: [the] intelligent way to listen [to] radio").

It was founded in 1983 as a companion to the Mexican public TV broadcaster Imévision, now known as TV Azteca. When Imévision was privatized, Imévision's cultural channel and Grupo IMER survived.
