The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) (新加坡政策研究院) was established in 1988 as a think-tank dedicated to fostering good governance in Singapore through strategic policy research and discussion.

The Institute is an autonomous research centre in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. IPS focuses on Singapore's domestic developments and her external relations. It takes on a multi-disciplinary approach in its analysis with an emphasis on long-term strategic thinking.
