Institute of Engineering & Technology Khandari

The Institute of Engineering & Technology Khandari, Agra (I.E.T. Khandari, Agra), is the prestigious and renowned engineering institute of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra (formerly Agra University), situated at Khandari, Agra in Uttar Pradesh [1] [2].

The Institute is an integral part of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University (formerly Agra University, estd. 1927), which has the distinction of being one of the oldest Universities of India. There are many distinguished personalities associated with the University. Prominent among them are Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, Pt. Motilal Nehru, Gulzari Lal Nanda, Ch. Charan Singh, Pt. Krishna Dutt Paliwal, and Pandit Hridyanath Kunzru. Despite being one of the oldest Universities of India, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University has kept pace with changing times. Establishment of several separate institutes for imparting specialized education reflects this very fact.

Establishment of Institute of Engineering & Technology is a result of similar thinking and in view to spread technical knowledge . It was established in the serene atmosphere of Khandari campus of the historical city of Agra in the year ‘1998’.

Within a very short span of establishment the Institute has earned an envious place not only in scholastic and corporate circles of India but also abroad. Today, the institute holds a very high ranking among Nations' best engineering institutes. [1]

The Institute is situated within the city of Agra at the University's Khandari Campus [3], which is widely regarded as one of the prime locations of the city.
