Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, is the pioneering Aeronautical institute, started in the year 2000 as an exclusive institute providing quality education in Andhra Pradesh, has since transformed itself into truly integrated inter multi-disciplinary Technological Institute dedicated in inter disciplinary instruction. It has at present three Technology Divisions.

The first among them being Aeronautics and Mechanical Sciences and Technology division . This merging permits reaping the benefits of synergy between these Sciences and Technologies (which exist as separate departments in other institutes). Hence, this division has been created with a right blend of specialists from Academics, R&D and Industrial backgrounds, providing the required competence for this task. Thus, it has integrated two distinct departments providing training for under graduate programmes in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering disciplines of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

The second division is a later addition wherein Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology disciplines are merged to provide both Science and Technology inputs to Engineering Graduates of either departments making them suitable for taking up challenges of the IT Sector of today with hardware and software know-how’s imparted in an integrated environment with faculty having both computer science and information technology backgrounds.

Last but not the least among these divisions being the integrated product of ECE and EEE disciplines to provide holistic Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering and technological skills through a coherent blend of dynamic faculty. In addition to the above three divisions the institute has a common division of Humanities and Basic Sciences (HBS), which includes managerial sciences and caters to the common needs of all engineering disciplines in addition the institute has library and physical education departments merged into this to cater for scholastic and physical needs of engineering students and faculties.


The above structure is chosen with a vision to make it conducive to embark upon Post Graduate Programmes and for intra-institutional Ventures with renowned National R&D Centres, Defence Development Establishments and Industries. Currently the institute offers courses at the bachelors and Masters level


This self-financing Institute is sponsored by the Maruthi Educational Society governed by the Directors with industrial, business and educational institute management experience. While the Academia is governed by a Board of Studies duly constituted by the board with expert members drawn from R&D and Academic Institutions of National Repute.
