The band Inquisition (originally named Guillotina) was formed in 1988 in Cali (Colombia) by Dagon. The band started as Kreator-like thrash metal act, but by mid-90s evaluated to old school black metal. In 1996 Dagon left Colombia and moved to the USA. The same year Incubus joined the band on drums. This line-up remains stable for more than ten years. Now Inquisition resides in Lake Stevens (Washington State, USA). The fourth and the latest to the date album Nefarious Dismal Orations was released on March 25, 2007 on No Colours Records.
The band plays their own unique trademark black metal; namely slow and deep riffing combined with fast riffing and solos, which, especially on the earlier black metal-releases, is reminiscent of thrash metal. Dagon's voice is very monotonous and does not sound like any voice typically used in black metal.
