[edit] Similar plot resolution...

"...humanity was eradicated by an airborne biological weapon (a scenario that was inspired by the Alistair MacLean novel The Satan Bug)." This is similar to a recent plot revelation in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series from Archie Comics. In that continuity, if I remember correctly, the virus that nearly wiped out humanity on Earth was sent by aliens. In a twist of fate, many species of Earth's animals were uplifted by the virus to human intelligence. --75.161.84.72 00:19, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
