Inheritance (short story)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Inheritance" is a short story by Arthur C. Clarke, which was first published in 1947.[1]
It is a science-fiction story about a spaceship accident (in fact, two accidents are described in the story). The story also contains supernatural elements. The title refers to a son who takes up his father's profession.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about this story from 1940s is that the main payload rocket involved in the first accident is described in ways very similar to modern-day space shuttles.
