Inherit the Truth is a video of the annual play of the Scopes Trial, held at the original courthouse in Dayton, Tennessee, where the state of Tennessee prosecuted John Scopes for breaking a law which forbade the teaching of a story of origins that contradicted the Biblical account.[1]
The dvd was put together and distributed with assistance from Bryan College, named after the prosecuting attorney of the Scopes trial, William Jennings Bryan.
The dvd has come under attack from some bloggers who argue that the dvd is biased towards the prosecution [2]
The Bryan College website claims this dvd is
"Inherit the Truth” is a video of the trial reenactment which is produced each year as part of the Scopes Festival.
The dvd is a rebuttal to the movie Inherit the Wind a 1955 play, which was made into a movie in 1960[3], as can be noticed by the similarity of the titles.
