[edit] Modeling career
The Belgian model began her career in 1996 with a small agency in the Netherlands and was discovered by Parisian agents three years later. She moved to Paris where she lived for six years working on projects for Christian Dior and Amway and appeared in magazines such as ELLE, Marie Claire, Vogue and Glamour. Seeking new opportunities in modeling, as well as film and theatre, she later moved to New York City where she became the "face" of Artistry, a cosmetics line owned by Quixtar, a sister company of Amway. Vandebosch was recently featured in Stuff magazine where she talks about her sexy line of lingerie and what she considers sexy.
Vandebosch was most recently featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit '08 issue, along with the wives of other "star athletes", including Michelle Damon (wife of New York Yankees' outfielder Johnny Damon), Carmella Garcia (wife of Tampa Bay Buccaneers' quarterback Jeff Garcia), and La La Vazquez (fiancee of Denver Nuggets' forward Carmelo Anthony).
[edit] Personal
Vandebosch married NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Jeff Gordon in a private ceremony in Mexico on 2006-11-07 [1]. The couple were introduced by a mutual friend in 2002, but didn't start dating until about two and a half years later. Gordon and Vandebosch announced their engagement on June 24, 2006, after keeping it secret for the previous 30 days.
Gordon announced December 13, 2006 that his new bride, Ingrid Vandebosch, was pregnant with the couple's child, which the couple announced was a girl.
"Christmas came early for us this year", Gordon said in a statement. "This is a very special gift for us – one that we’re both looking forward to. Ingrid and I can’t wait to be parents.
"We’ve known for a little while, but we couldn’t wait any longer to share the good news with our friends and fans."
On June 20, 2007 Vandebosch gave birth to a girl named Ella Sofia Gordon in New York City. The baby weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce. [2]
