[edit] Biography
The band's guitarist and songwriter Haris Cizmic, formed the band "Therion" (do not confuse with a Swedish metal band Therion) with Adisa Cizmic in 1996. After being banned from national TV stations for their provocative music videos, they changed the band's name to AXA, in 1998. In 1998, AXA won a Stage Appearance Award on the International Music Festival 'Forte98'[1] with the song "Stay Sleepless" - Watch the video here (production 'Mire') [2]. Shortly after, AXA was on top of the charts and their debut CD "Therion Confidential" was released in 1999. That was a highest ranked CD promotion up-to-date [3].

AXA scored the soundtrack for the movie "Escaping Otis" [5] - Sundance Festival. - Watch the video here (production TVX) [6]
Same year, the song "Therion" was 2nd on mp3.com [7], the band shot 3 new music videos and they signed for distribution with 'The Orchard' [8]. As one of the most popular bands in Bosnia, AXA performed for President Clinton during his visit to Sarajevo in 1999 [9] Same year, the band performed on another International Music Festival - 'Forte'99' In summer 1999 AXA hit top of the radio and TV charts with their songs "Alone" - Watch the video here (production TV AMNA) [10] and "Everything" - Watch the video here (production TV AMNA) [11]
In 2000 AXA moved to Detroit, USA. It took few years to find compatible, full time members and finally (in 2004) AXA was back on track performing and recording. In the meantime, the band released few indie records, some EP-s and changed the label. The band had 13 music videos aired by 2006 on various TV stations in Bosnia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, GB, Italy and Germany. [12]
