Ingo Rademacher (born April 22, 1971, in Iserlohn-Letmathe, West Germany; raised in Australia), is a television actor. He has portrayed the role of Jasper Jax Jacks on the daytime soap opera General Hospital almost continuously since 1996. During a one-year break, he appeared on the short-lived prime time soap opera Titans.

The character of "Jax", a suave tycoon, has been involved with a succession of General Hospital characters, most notably that of Brenda Barrett, played by Vanessa Marcil. The triangle of Brenda, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jax proved captivating to viewers.

There are constant rumors implying that he will soon be leaving the show. "I am burnt out," Rademacher told the Australian publication The Sunday Mail. "All I have done in the last 10 years is go to work. [If I leave GH] I don't know if I want to stay in America, it's very corporate. I do want to have a farm where I can just veg out." The show has recently once sent out a casting call for a character named "Hugo," which many have thought will turn out to be a recast for Jax.

In June 2006, Rademacher remained on vacation at his home in Hawaii for a period of time "while his reps, hopefully, hash out an agreement with the [General Hospital's] execs for his return shortly thereafter. . . both parties are very close to reaching an agreement that would. . . [afford] Rademacher some free time (which we hear was his sticking point)." - ABC Soaps In Depth, July 4, 2006.

Rademacher was 10 and his sister Anne was 12 when their parents, Arndt and Roswitha, moved the family from Germany to a goat ranch and vegetable farm in New South Wales, Australia. After four years of droughts and floods, they packed up and settled in coastal Bundaberg, Queensland, where Ingo attended Kepnock State High school, played school volleyball (where he wore one fluorescent pink shoelace in one volleyball shoe), surfed, sailed and rode horses. Rademacher was the lead singer in a Bundaberg high school band, Who Cares, and recorded one single, Life's a Party after winning a local inter-schools battle of the bands contest. He dropped out of the University of Brisbane after six months and began a stint as a model.

After the modelling stint, he entered the acting profession. His first role was the character of surfer "Sean Hayden" in the Australian soap opera Paradise Beach. After the show was canceled, he moved to Los Angeles in 1994. His former Paradise Beach co-star, Jaason Simmons, who appeared on Baywatch, hooked him up with a place to stay in Los Angeles.

General Hospital producer Wendy Riche saw his (unsuccessful) audition tape for the soap opera The City and immediately cast him as "Jax".
