The Ing Cup is a top Go competition.
[edit] Outline
The Ing Cup is sponsored by Ing Chang-ki, Ing, Yomiuri Shimbun, the Nihon-Kiin, and Kansai-Kiin. The Ing Cup is special because it uses its own rules and a rather large 8 point komi. It is also held every 4 years, so this could be seen as the "The World Cup" of Go. The thinking time is 3 hours. The first rounds are knockouts, while the semi-finals and finals are a best-of-3 and best-of-5 respectively.
The winner's purse is the biggest in the world, giving almost $500,000 to the winner.
