[edit] Redirects

Hi, Infrangible! Thanks for creating the article Cameroon line! You might want to check out our page that describes how to set up a redirect. The long and short of it, though, is that if you create a page with the text #REDIRECT [[Article title]], the software will treat that page as a redirect to the article in brackets. In this case, the title "Cameroon line" is somewhat ambiguous, so I've gone ahead and set up redirects from Cameroon Line, Cameroon volcanic line, and Cameroon Volcanic Line. That way, if someone writes an article and they type [[Cameroon volcanic line]] (or one of the other alternate possible titles), the Wiki software will automatically redirect them to your Cameroon line page. Thanks again for your work! — BrianSmithson 01:37, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Good advice, thank you. --Infrangible 05:25, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Going back a month

  • Kudos on your talk page clarification on your tagging on this! Wish more editors left a clue as to their misgivings. Having two in-your-face tags on an incomplete stub is a bit much, so I used an inline objection where I think and know you might have had an issue; much better to clue in following editors what is remiss, and the talk give and take does the rest. You can find more at WP:DT, like {{Lopsided}} which would be good for this as well.

Perhaps it will inspire someone to research the gent and finish the article. It reads more like an essay at the moment. I'm on the WP:Wc, so let me add I'm glad to help in any way as you negotiate your learning curve. Best regards. // FrankB 05:06, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
  • No worries, it will all get straigtened out eventually. --Infrangible 05:25, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "If I..."

Please don't put stub categories directly int oarticles, as you did with "If I..." where you used Category:Soundtrack stubs. To put an article into a stub category, please use the stub templates. In addition, please also use a regular category (non-stub) for the articles. Eli Falk 09:21, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Live and learn. Thanks, friend. --Infrangible 01:51, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Help

I realize it might be a bit late, but based on your support at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of band name etymologies, I thought you might be interested in helping stop the avalanche at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of songs whose title is a full name of an actual famous person TonyTheTiger (talk/cont/bio) 17:52, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Agreed. When lists capture knowledge that is greater than the sum of its parts, then they no longer fall under indiscriminate information. --Infrangible 02:16, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Articles for deletion

Please note that it is not necessary to comment on an AfD simply to say "no vote". Thanks. One Night In Hackney303 20:05, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Thank you for taking the time to comment, but I feel it quantitatively expresses the sentiment: why are we even talking about this. There are many ways you can vote on something not just thumbs up or thumbs down. --Infrangible 20:14, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
  • I think the problem may be with the way you are interpreting the AfD process. It's not a vote at all. If you haven't already, take a look at this page. I have seen you are fairly active in AfDs, and instead of 'no vote,' your input and help would be much appreciated, as I can tell you have a genuine interest in Wikipedia. the_undertow talk 09:37, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Thank you for your comments. Let's agree to disagree on this one. --Infrangible 11:18, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Done. Now how bout we find an article that needs some serious reparations, and do a little teamwork (before it hits AfD?) :] the_undertow talk 11:14, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comment is on Talk page

The Comment is on the talk page of the article being nominated for deletion.A priori (mathematical modeling), thanks for the look--Cronholm144 01:55, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Well you asked "comment what?" on the AfD [1]page for A priori (mathematical modeling) and the comment in question is on that page under discussion.--Cronholm144 02:00, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] thanks

Infrangible, thank you for your kind support of my RfA, which closed successfully yesterday. Please feel free to drop me a note any time if there is anything that I might be able to do for you. Pastordavid 16:40, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

  • You being successful in your RFA is thanks enough. --Infrangible 02:12, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

[edit] Proposed Micronation Wikiproject

I've published a proposal to gauge the level of interest in setting up a micronation Wikiproject, which I thought might be of interest to you based on your past contributions. Comments and suggestions are welcome: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Micronations --Gene_poole 02:09, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Giving legitimacy to splinter nations is one step closer to lowering my property taxes. --Infrangible 09:36, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
In my opinion it's not about "giving legitimacy" to anyone. It's about properly documenting a noteworthy social phenomenon. --Gene_poole 01:37, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your interest. The project proposal above has been successful, so I would like to invite you to add your name to the new project page: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Micronations. --Gene_poole 00:32, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] YechielMan's RFA

Thank you for participating in either of my unsuccessful requests for adminship. Although the experience was frustrating, it showed me some mistakes I was making, and I hope to learn from those mistakes.

Please take a few minutes to read User:YechielMan/Other stuff/RFA review and advise me how to proceed. Best regards. YechielMan 21:31, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Politics is 90% image and 10% substance. You have learned a lot of lessons the hard way but it seems to me you that have an image problem that won't go away. Rather than fret about it, why not just start over and keep it clean this time? --Infrangible 01:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Just dropping by to say "thank you" for supporting me in my recent my RfA. I passed the vote, and am now an admin. It will take me some getting used to with the new tools, but I thank you again for the trust. Have a good one, and, as always, happy editing! Jmlk17 05:15, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

That's me...

Dear Infrangible, thanks for your support in my recent RfA, it was, however, unsuccessful. I am not the type of editor to be disheartened by such a result, and have gained much experience. If you have anything to contribute by way of improvements or comments, please don’t hesitate to tell me.

I will run again. Until then, Cheers, Dfrg.msc 08:35, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
