Hi, thanks for your post on my talk page. Regarding Yevgeni Khaldei's "Soviet Reichstag" photo. Last week, the user in question removed the image from the Germany page on the grounds that it was a "faked propaganda" photo. I therefore contacted the user on his/her talk page to explain why, in my view, Khaldei's photo should stay there. I explained that I don't really care whether the photo is "faked propaganda" or not. It's still a powerful image, which has become something like a symbol for the downfall of Nazi Germany. For this reason, the photo is also widely used in German school books. Nevertheless, I told the user that s/he could replace the "Soviet Reichstag" with another image, if s/he wanted. In the end s/he left the image stay, though. - Heimdal 11:18, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

Hello Infamouskitty, I think your edits really improve the Germany page. I can imagine that people now actually will want to read the history of Germany when they get to this page! gidonb 04:42, 7 May 2005 (UTC)
