[edit] Ryan Avery

Hello! Because of your interest in similar musicians, I wanted to direct you to the Ryan Avery article and the corresponding AfD. Thanks! PT (s-s-s-s) 20:02, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

  • First of all, I am not the subject of this article. I have written many Arizona related articles, this is just one. Second of all, I asked you to read this article and comment on the AfD because of your edits to articles which I felt were related. I do not appreciate your incivil personal attack, which certainly did not assume good faith. I request you strike out your misapprehension as written on the AfD. • Oh...my mistake. I've never heard of Ryan Avery. Can't help you. --Infamous30 17:34, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
      • You edited an article on Quintron. I assumed you were well versed in that scene/genre/whatever of music, and may have an appreciation for the notability of the artist in question (even if you had not heard about him before). Though I have no control over how someone votes on an AfD, I do like to put it in front of people I feel will have a better idea of what they're talking about than some people I see post on AfDs. I was hoping you'd read the article, see the associations the artist has made, activities he has participated in, check out the sources I have cited, and then hopefully vote for a keep. However, in no way was I trying to influence your vote, merely putting the article in front of you and seeing what you might think. I just think AfDs on music should be voted on by people who have an idea on what the music scene is actually like, not people who only know pop music and think because someone isn't on the radio, that it isn't notable. • Understood. Let me take another look at the article and do some research. If I think it's noteworthy, I'll change my vote. Cool? --Infamous30 17:46, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
          • That's more than fair, that's all I wanted when I first asked, and I am sorry if I was not clear. PT (s-s-s-s) 17:51, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music

Whats up? Hi, I'm trying to gather some more interest and support for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music. Please check out the topics and lets get our WikiProject to function better. Recently, I've taken an interest in the Wikipedia:WikiProject hip hop and I consider that WikiProject to be better developed. I am now writing to usernames on the hiphopWP who might be interested in helping with the punkmusicWP. Hopefully we can all work together to improve articles relating to punk as has been done well with hip hop. Finally, I am trying to gather support and opinions concerning the punk house article and specifically the Theta Beta Potata article which is currently in AfD (x2) at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Theta Beta Potata (second nomination). Please check it out and voice your opinion. Xsxex 09:09, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
