[edit] Things to consider adding

List of things to consider to add to this:

  • Land area used
  • Short list of "major" exhibits
  • Has a tram, train, or overhead chair ride?
  • Accredications of X (e.g, AZA)
  • Members of X (e.g., WAZA)
  • Website link (like on Template:Infobox Film)
  • Operated by (e.g., Zoological Society of San Diego for San Diego Zoo)
  • Director
  • Uniquities (if that's a word): what makes this zoo unique? (e.g., Giant Panda @ the San Diego Zoo)
  • Link the coordinates

What about the Zoo's logo? RaptorRobot 11:58, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Added logo parameters, see template page. Cburnett 07:07, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images

When I tried to put an image of the Memphis Zoo in the infobox it did not work at first. I had to remove the "image_width = " line from the infobox code to make it work. Without that, it would just show lots of blanks after the image filename before the width parameter but not display the image.

It's working now for the Memphis box but someone with more expertise should check if there's something wrong with the template. In case I did something wrong here, please let me know.

[edit] Money, Attendance

One may better assess a zoo (or anything else) by seeing annual attendance figures (or average daily, or whatever) and an annual budget. I recommend these two be added.
I realize that there are problems about giving a budget in "rasputniks" when most of us don't know what the value of a raputnik is in our own currency. But we'll work it out. Student7 (talk) 13:15, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Other things to add

I was thinking of adding a few more things such as annual attendance (like above), and also largest_volume (volume of largest tank) & total_volume (total volume of all tanks) so that it is more usable on aquarium pages. I will probably think of more, but i will leave these here for a bit to get some feedback. Chris_huhtalk 14:13, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
