Template talk:Infobox community

[edit] Some admin delete this dumb infobox please

This infobox really needs to be deleted by an administrator ASAP. Most cities do not have officially approved neighborhoods where data is available for that particular neighborhood. Indeed, many ZIP Codes cover several unincorporated communities or even incorporated cities, which makes them useless for statistical analysis on a community-by-community basis.

For example, parts of the incorporated cities of Los Altos Hills, California, Los Altos, California, and an unincorporated area just west of both cities shares the zip codes 94024 and 94022. They also share two post offices, which is why a lot of mail sent to Los Altos Hills is addressed to Los Altos (the site of both post offices) because that's what the USPS prefers for bulk sort mail. --Coolcaesar 03:21, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
