Template talk:Infobox Korean Film

Why is this necessary... and not just part of Template:Infobox film ? gren グレン 09:17, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Template:Infobox Korean film is now redirecting here. Please use its history to add content to this template as needed. Cwolfsheep 16:44, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- Uhm, I see the element "Language" in the infobox. I assume that this template is for Korean film, so the language must always be Korean. Should we need this? Appleworm 13:24, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's possible to be Korean, with a bit of Mandarin or Thai or Japanese or even english snuck in enough to make it notable. So I think it's still important. Andrzejbanas 05:08, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Country
I've just added a parameter in the infobox for "country" — hopefully I've done it right, since this ismy first time editing an infobox template.
In any case, while some people might consider it a bit redundant, I think it's important to make the distinction between South Korean, North Korean, or old Korean films, or any Korean co-productions that might require this infobox. PC78 17:37, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Changes to infobox
I've added several fields to this infobox that are used in {{Infobox Film}}, namely "Narrator", "Gross", and "Website", plus an extra field for "Admissions", since box office success in Korea is traditionally determined by ticket sales rather than financial gross (as opposed to most other countries).
Also, I have rewritten the "Korean name" section of the infobox, so that individual fields will not be displayed if they are left blank. PC78 19:15, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Context" parameter
This infobox now takes a context parameter, just like {{Infobox Korean name}}. Use context=north
for North Korean film articles: this will change the name of Hangul to Chosŏn'gŭl and reverse the order of RR and MR, per North Korean useage. PC78 10:51, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
