[edit] similar infobox
I want to redirect this district infobox dedicated to Lima districts ({{Lima district table}}) to the template were we're are currently reading this. What do you think? --Andersmusician $ 04:17, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well, there's already {{Infobox Settlement}}. If you want to make a template tailored for Peruvian districts, maybe you can get ideas from that template which is quite comprehensive. --Victor12 17:31, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- The idea was of EricBronder, though --Andersmusician $ 00:55, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- It looks nice. WJust a minor point, why is it green? Being and infobox for Peruvian districts shouldn't it be red. --Victor12 01:08, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- thought this green looked nice, red would be too dark, and wouldnt make contrast with maps(wich the ones we use tend to color regions in red) --Andersmusician $ 14:55, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I see your point, thanks... --Victor12 15:23, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Some remarks still... 1) Infobox is too wide. Take a look at Caraz District and see what happens. I don't like that, it reduces the space available for text. 2) Rows for image and COA are not suppressed when not available. I'm not sure about the green, is it the same as in the lima districts?Eric Bronder 20:27, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- How about {{Infobox Province Peru}}? Eric Bronder 20:27, 28 June 2007 (UTC) shouldn't this one be changed either?
- Should we use this style of Infobox for all Infoboxes used in the PeruProject? Like the archaeological site peru User:Ericbronder/Sandbox7 still in the pipeline? Eric Bronder 20:27, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
-
- Hmm... shouldn't we use the same template for provinces and districts? Also, it would be nice to have a unified style for all the Peru-related infoboxes. --Victor12 20:54, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
-
- The template for provinces has been around for some time now (since 2005) and is used on all provinces articles. Maybe easier to adapt the template than adapt all articles. Besides, it offers possibilities to differentiate between the two, for whatever reasons we might come up with in the future.
-
- I'm hugely in favour of the unified style also. Eric Bronder 21:45, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. A unified style could be discussed at the yet to be created Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Peru/Templates page. But first please finish the blue map. Greetings, --Victor12 21:55, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

- I agree with you, the Ill try to fix the row spaces left. --Andersmusician VOTE 17:27, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Map equation
Hi, I propose to make the "map=" entry becomes just "example.jpg", instead of pasting the whole image code. This way we could have standard sizes since images are from the same source, EricBronder --Andersmusician VOTE 02:53, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
- That's a great idea, can you do that? I'm pretty bad at handling templates. --Victor12 21:38, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lima Province
I was wondering what should we put in the Region parameter for the districts of Lima Province. As this province does not belong to the Lima Region, should this field be left in blank? --Victor12 18:16, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- Changed it to an optional parameter, table row suppressed when left blank --ErickAgain 00:53, 3 November 2007 (UTC).
