[edit] Structure notes
A few notes for functions that should be added to this template:
- There should be a function to flag a riding as defunct, and to include the year in which it was dissolved and what ridings it was merged into. Party-colour, member and member-party fields should be hidden if a riding is defunct. We have the functionality to do it in the same template; it shouldn't be necessary to create a separate template for defunct electoral districts.
- If a map isn't already available at the expected filename, the template actually displays the text [[Image:{{{image}}}|200px]] in the map slot. This needs to be hidden.
- Instead of just "Province electoral district", perhaps the template should actually link directly to the appropriate Legislative Assembly instead.

[edit] Federal District
Is it possible to add a variable to include the federal riding(s) that would also be associated with the provincial riding? --HJKeats (talk) 16:43, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
