[edit] a few things to add

Might I make a few suggestions for things to add to the template? The Japanese Wikipedia's version of the template includes alternate names for the temple, the primary image enshrined there (i.e. which Buddha/Bodhisattva - Amitabha, Dainichi, Kannon... and in what aspect), groupings the temple is associated with (such as the 33 Kannon temples of the Tokyo area, or the 88 of the Shikoku pilgrimage), and important cultural properties. I imagine that many of these are relevant for temples outside Japan as well; other countries' cases may suggest other attributes instead.

Also, a minor quibble, but is there a reason we list the phone number? That seems a bit...
