[edit] Infobox redesign

I'm proposing this template to be replaced with User:Intgr/Infobox block cipher redesign which uses ParserFunctions to allow for optional fields, tries to look more consistent with existing templates out there, and has shorter field names to prevent wrapping. My vision of the transistion would be to create a separate template with a non-conflicting name, and then convert articles to use that one by one. Does anyone have criticism/opinions/ideas? -- intgr 19:56, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Cool, nice work! If we wanted to keep the name, we could even just update it in-place and fix the 15 or so articles. — Matt Crypto 20:25, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
I can't think of any good reasons to keep the name, I think I'd use 'Template:Infobox block cipher' instead. Shall I go ahead with the change, or should I wait for more opinions? -- intgr 15:35, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Please go for it! — Matt Crypto 17:21, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Conversion of all articles done (Template:Infobox block cipher). Enjoy! :) -- intgr 19:58, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Just stumbled on this new template. Is there any way it could be made a bit more colourful? The current version is kind of grey/grey. Perhaps put the title inside the box with a coloured bar just as many other boxes do (and the old one did)? Also at first on one page I did not understand that the first text line below the image was an image caption. There should perhaps be a thin horisontal line between the image caption and the rest of the text? Or at least make it so the image caption comes closer to the image than the text below it. Just some ideas. I don't know if these ideas will look good before I see them. :) --David Göthberg 11:50, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
For the record, {{Infobox block cipher}} is the new template - I'll copy this message there, better to keep the conversation on the relevant page. :) -- intgr 21:29, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
