The date the game was released. May include multiple release dates if the game was released at different times in different regions.
genre
The video game genre(s) the game belongs to.

[edit] Optional

state
Defaults to collapsed. If set to collapsed, the infobox will always start out in a collapsed state.
An infobox with autocollapse will start out collapsed if there are two or more tables on the same page that use other collapsible tables. Otherwise, the infobox will be expanded. For the technically minded, see MediaWiki:Common.js.
If set to plain, the infobox will always be explanded and the [hide] link on the right will not be displayed.
If set to blank or anything other than autocollapse, collapsed or plain, the infobox will always start out in a collapsed state.

[edit] Microformat

The HTML mark up produced by this template includes an hCalendar microformat, which makes the event details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue article across Wikipedia, or via a browser tool operated by a person, to (for example) add the subject to a calendar or diary application. For more information about the use of microformats on Wikipedia, please see the microformat project.

Dates will only appear if you use {{Start date}} or {{End date}} (use the former for single dates).

hCalendar uses HTML classes including:

  • "dtend"
  • "dtstart"
  • "location"
  • "summary"
  • "vevent"
