- Name of campaign's authorized committee, as listed with the FEC. Drop candidate's first name, "2008", or "Inc."), if preferred.

- cand_id *
- FEC candidate identification number. To locate, open Presidential or House and Senate at FEC and click on candidate name to view cand_ID number in url.

- Date of most recent FEC quarterly statistics in [YYYY]-[MM]-[DD] format.
Example: 2007-09-30 - status
- Indicate if campaign is no longer active.
Example: Withdrawn - affiliation
- Political party affilliation
- headquarters *
- Location of campaign headquarters
- key_people
- Individuals most closely associated with the campaign. Limit to at most two or three people. To avoid red links, only link names with existing Wikipedia articles.
- receipts
- Total campaign contributions as indicated by the most recent Presidential or House and Senate statistics from the FEC in millions of US$ (do not add dollar sign).
