[edit] Instructions

Copy and past the following code onto any page that describes a term used to describe specialized terminology in any topic area. It was developed mainly for use with the fields of ufology, parapsychology, paranormal investigation, conspiracy beliefs, etc (including terms used which refer to topics that have since been debunked, or shown to be haoxes), but can be used for any other topic areas as well. Complete the fields as necessary. Do not delete unused fields, leave them blank for another user to complete. Fields marked with a * will remain visible on screen if empty, fields not marked with * will not appear on screen if left empty.

The main heading parameter "Topicheading" is REQUIRED and will appear on the top line. To create the heading you want at the top line of the infobox, just substitute your text for the words "Topicheading REQUIRED" where they appear in the example below.

This infobox should only be applied to terminology that is is verifiable as being in common use by a reliable source that passes Wikipedia Notability guidelines. It should not be used for terminology that exists purely in fiction, or that is unstable in common use and lacks a clear definition (no neologisms). This infobox does not exist to assert the factuality of that which it describes, or its acceptance in science, it should only be used to provide clear definition of a terms meaning, history, and the scope/limitations under which the terminology can be applied.

IMPORTANT: The Topicheading parameter is required, to indicate which subject area the infobox addresses. These can be areas such as "Paranormal", Ufology", etc. The purpose of this Topicheading is to create "effective tagging" so the infobox is not mis-interpreted, to make it clear that the terminology refers to "cultural artifacts" rather than fringe science, per WP:FRINGE.
