- name_notes
- Notes to go under the route designation and name

- The type of route (MD for state route US for U.S. highway, etc.) (default is MD)

- Used for non-numbered routes, the name of the route
- name
- Name or names of the route if it's numbered (ex: "Governor Ritchie Highway, Solomon's Island Road" for MD 2 or "Paul T. Pitcher Memorial Highway" for MD 100). If a name only applies to a short section of the route or is more commonly associated with another route, that name should be left out of the list (Ex: Do not include "John Hanson Highway" for MD 2)
- map
- A map image of this route
- length_mi
- Length in miles
- length_round

to_direction
- beltway_city
- City or town the route encircles if it is a beltway
- routes_junctioned
- List of some numbered routes that junction this one (excluding termini), some things to note about this section:
- For longer routes, only list junctions with major routes, in general, try keep the list at 10 or less routes
- Routes should be listed North to South or West to East and should not be repeated.
- Routes should be listed in the format
[[Image:image|size]] [[route link]]
. The image is the shield image, the size is 20px if the route uses a square shield (such as 1 and 2-digit routes), and 25px if the route uses a wide shield (such as 3-digit routes), and the route link is a link to the route, with the abbreviation of the route (MD 2, US 50, I-95) as the visible link text. - Basically, routes junctioned is just to give the user an idea of where the route is in relation to other routes, for a more exhaustive list of junctions, use the "Junction list" section as outlined in WP:MDRD/EG.
