All arguments are optional. Possible arguments include:
- title: the title at the top; defaults to PAGENAME
- image: the XYZ in Image:XYZ
- caption: the caption to display beneath the image.
- image_width: defaults to 150.
- bar_text: the text to display in the bar beneath the image; defaults to "Native language names"
- free_text: displays beneath the list of names.
Language arguments:
- hindi
- ipa
- ipa_language: defaults to "Hindi".
- iast
- assamese and assamese_rom
- bishnupriya manipuri and bishnupriya_manipuri_rom
- bengali and bengali_rom
- bodo and bodo_rom (romanization optional)
- gujarati and gujarati_rom
- kannada and kannada_rom
- malayalam and malayalam_rom
- maithili and maithili_rom
- marathi and marathi_rom
- oriya and oriya_rom
- punjabi and punjabi_rom
- sanskrit and iast
- santhali and santhali_rom
- sindhi and sindhi_rom
- tamil and tamil_rom
- telugu and telugu_rom
- urdu and urdu_rom
Transliterations are optional for those languages (Konkani and Bodo) which often use the Roman alphabet; for others, omitting the transliteration will result in placing the article in a cleanup category.
Please note that only one or two of these is likely to be appropriate for a given article.
Setting any of the language arguments to "!" will place the article in the appropriate subcategory of Category:Lacking non-English text. For example,
