  • song - the flag of the country, and the song's title as presented during the ESC.
    For the flag, use this template: {{flagicon|enter_name_of_country_here}}
    • e.g. for Serbia's Molitva, enter {{flagicon|Serbia}} Molitva
  • image - a photograph of the performance
  • caption - additional information on the photo
  • year - four-digit year in which the song was an ESC entry (no Wikilinks or special signs please, this will link directly to the article on this year's ESC)
  • country - represented country's name in English, starting with a capital letter, as quoted by the ESC (no Wikilinks or special signs please, this will link directly to the article on country's ESC history)
  • artist - use if template is placed anywhere else than on the performing artist's page - name the performing artist(s) as credited during the ESC, including Wikilinks where applicable
    • e.g. for Luxembourg 1967 enter [[Vicky Leandros|Vicky]], or for Luxembourg 1985 enter [[Annemieke Verdoorn|Margo]], Franck Olivier, Diane Solomon, Ireen Sheer, Malcolm & Chris Roberts (only Margo had a WP entry at the time of writing this instruction)

  • with - if placed in an article referring to an artist who participated in this year with other artists or a band, please state their/its name(s) here - if there are articles on those, use Wikilinks the usual way
  • genre - The genre of the entry.
  • composer - composer(s) of the entry as credited at the ESC, use Wikilinks where applicable, using <br> is suggested for approporiate formatting
  • lyricist - author(s) of the lyrics of the entry (the version performed at the ESC) as credited at the ESC, use Wikilinks where applicable, using <br> is suggested for approporiate formatting
  • conductor - for entries in contests when there was a live orchestra, state the conductor who appeared at the ESC, as credited at the contest
  • language - language in which the song was performed at the ESC, adjective form in English starting with a capital letter (no Wikilinks or special signs please, this will link directly to the article on the language)
    This field only supports ONE language at a time - for songs with lyrics in more languages use the field below!
  • languages - a version for songs with lyrics in multiple languages, please enter them in this format:
    [[English language|English]], [[French language|French]] etc.
  • place - place in the contest (final), if applicable - numeral (e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.)
  • points - points awarded in the contest (final), if applicable (e.g. 170, 22, 0, 16 etc.)
  • place_semi - place in the semifinal, if applicable - numeral (e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.)
  • points_semi - points awarded in the semifinal, if applicable (e.g. 170, 22, 0, 16 etc.)
  • lyrics - external link directly to the page containing lyrics of the song as performed in the ESC within a non-for-profit, ad-free site (like the Diggiloo Trush)
  • clip - external link directly to the page containing a video clip of the song, preferably as performed in the ESC, hosted by an official source such as the Eurovision website. Please see Wikipedia:Copyrights#Linking_to_copyrighted_works.
  • prev - The name of the previous winning song.
  • prev_year - The year of the previous winning song if not the year before
  • prev_link - The name of the article of the song above
  • next - The name of the next winning song.
  • next_year - The year of the next song if not the year after
  • next_link - The name of the article of the song above
