This infobox is meant for use with municipalities, towns, and villages in Lebanon. It combines aspects of several different infoboxes, but is closest to Infobox City. The major difference is that this infobox has several Lebanon-centric fields hard-coded, and makes other fields optional that normally aren't (notably area and population, which aren't always available for smaller towns). It also eliminates many fields which aren't relevant to Lebanon, and will automatically add the article to the cities and villages in Lebanon category. The syntax for using this infobox is as follows:
{{Infobox City Lebanon |official_name = |native_name = |image_skyline = |image_size = |image_caption = |governorate = |district = |leader_title = |leader_name = |leader_title1 = |leader_name1 = |leader_title2 = |leader_name2 = |leader_title3 = |leader_name3 = |area_total_km2 = |lat_deg = |lat_min = |lat_sec = |lat_hem = |lon_deg = |lon_min = |lon_sec = |lon_hem = |elevation_m = <!--For a range, use |elevation_m_lo = |elevation_m_hi= --> |mapx = |mapy = |locator_text_position = }}
[edit] Microformat
The HTML mark up produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the place-name and location parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue article across Wikipedia, or via a browser tool operated by a person, to (for example) add the subject to an address book. Within the hCard is a Geo microformat, which additionally makes the coordinates (latitude & longitude) parsable, so that they can be, say, looked up on a map, or downloaded to a GPS unit. For more information about the use of microformats on Wikipedia, please see the microformat project.
hCard uses HTML classes including:
- "adr"
- "county-name"
- "fn"
- "label"
- "locality"
- "nickname"
- "note"
- "org"
- "region"
- "street-address"
- "vcard"
Geo is produced by calling {{coord}}, and uses HTML classes:
- "geo"
- "latitude"
- "longitude"
Please do not rename or remove these classes.
When giving coordinates, please don't be overly precise.
