Information Systems Security Engineering Professional is a designation awarded by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2.
For experienced information security professionals with an International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium ((ISC)²) credential in good standing, the (ISC)² ISSEP Concentration demonstrates acquired rigorous knowledge of select Common Body of Knowledge(CBK) domains in Security Engineering.
The major domains of the CBK covered by ISSEP certification are:
- Systems Security Engineering
- Certification and Accreditation
- Technical Management
- U.S. Government Information Assurance Regulations
Passing a concentration examination demonstrates proven capabilities and subject-matter expertise beyond that required for the CISSP or SSCP credentials. Current Concentrations for CISSPs and SSCPs include the:
ISSAP, Concentration in Architecture
ISSEP, Concentration in Engineering
ISSMP, Concentration in Management
