[edit] History

Info was formed in 2000 by Camilo Z. on lead vocals, Alex L. on drums (former members of punk band Eskizofrenia) and guitarist John C.. First songs came from this trio, but bassless live sound was weak. As Milton R. became member of the band as bassist, the loops, electronics effects and samplers came with him. Milton R. was the drummer for alternative post-punk band Santaraña and BrujoNitro, a power-metal band from Bogota, leaving percussion behind for playing bass on Info instead. Alex L. was 2nd. drummer for 1280 Almas, a famous band in the early 90s at Colombia. Once this members are full involved with the band, artistic and musical concept spins on the Man of the Future idea.

The name Info comes from the word information, which represents all the new breed needs for being smart and powerful in the future: there are no limits for information in nowadays... "Internet, media, networks exist for the human being evolution and reached by everyone" (John C. on interview for Radioactiva 97.9 FM, Colombia - March, 2005).

In the working time building the band's final sound, Info was invisible for media for almost 4 years until the band was discovered by Rubén D. Rodriguez from the indie record label Megavelvet Ultra Music, who became their manager and offered the recording of a 4 songs demo edited on 2004, which includes the industrial version of Muevete, a classic tune of the legendary Estados Alterados. Then they made their first video single, supported by Billig Cinema, an independent movie releaser company. The video was directed by Mane Machado, "La Marcha (de los monos mutantes)". Video was on air by first time on CityTv, Bogotá and Musinet, Medellin. Muevete was their second video released on June, 2005, directed by Mane Machado. On those days (2005), Info's keyboardist Damián C., quit the band for personal issues. Camilo J. enters the band on 2007.

For 2006, the band was playing as invited for the final event of the Festival de Rock Universitario. Also played at the Tortazo Electrónico 2006 on the Teatro al Aire Libre de la Media Torta on December, 2006. They played at the True Fest on March, 2007.

The sound of the band is clearly influenced by industrial german music, EBM and bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, Orgy and Pain.
