Inertia Distribution is an independent record label and national distributor in Australia. They bridge the gap between the ever expanding volumes of music being produced internationally and the consistent demand for specific product within the Australian marketplace. Inertia also is home to two inhouse labels, Inertia Recordings and Rogue Records, which commenced in 2003.
Inertia wholesale to retail stores nationally and provide e-commerce distribution from their website. Inertia imports and exports music.
In 2004 Inertia achieved its first ARIA Top 10 Chart success and double platinum selling album for Ben Lee's Awake is the New Sleep as well as its first ARIA award with 'Best Urban Release' going to Koolism. Other ARIA nominated acts included Katalyst, Decoder Ring and Lisa Miller.
