BattleGlobe is a turn-based strategy, online multiplayer browser-based game, programmed in Macromedia Flash by Indivision. The setting of the game is a fantasy world with options to play as Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Gnomes, Orcs, Vampires or Cyclops. Within the game, a variety of objectives can be sought, including obtaining the most land, most income, most production, most combat victories or the highest over-all score.

[edit] Games
Games take place over a set time-frame, typically 1 month. Turns in the game are measured one per hour. At the end of each game, the players with the highest scores in various categories are recognized in a leaderboard fashion. After a grace period, the game resets and starts over.
[edit] Structures
There are two primary types of structures that players can build:
- Town Towns are built primarily to obtain land and income. Towns are particular important in the early stages of the game to build an economy that can afford the units and upgrades that castles can produce.
- Castle Castles are built primarily to produce advanced units and provide more defense to units positioned inside them.
[edit] Maps
All players compete for resources, move and do battle on a 2D hex map. There are many types of tiles on the maps that offer different values to the player in terms of income, production and how quickly units can move through them. These values are also affected by the players chosen class, alignment, type of structure built next to them, upgrades within structures as well as the traits of individual units trying to move through the tile.
[edit] Empires
Players take the role of leaders of a kingdom. When they enter the game, they are assigned to various empires which are separate groups of kingdoms. Other players who are assigned to the same empire are allies and can't be attacked. Everyone else is considered an enemy and is attacked by moving units into their units or structures.
