Proper Chronological Listing Needed The article is deeply flawed. To name "Chacha Chaudhary" as the first Indian comic character is wrong.Even before that,Indrajal Comics,a sub division of Times Of India Publication, which published both the English and Hindi version of characters as "The Phantom aKa Vetal","Mandrake The Magician","Flash Gordon","Garth","Rip Kirby","Tarzan" and an original indian character "Bahadur".While "Diamond comics" had titles like "Fauladi Singh".The "Madhu-Muskan" featured an array of humoruos characters."Lot-Pot",also published by the Madhu Muskan had "Motu , Patlu , Dr. Jhataka ".Abid Surati, the gujarati artist became famous for his comic strip featuring a lawyer as "Dhabbuji".There even was a Hindi adaptation of "MAD magazine" titled "DEEWANA";which had spoofs on Hindi movies, a drunkard called Madhosh. The recent appearance of characters such as Doga etc. are not purely Indian in the sense that they are copied /lifted from various International comics characters. I am looking for proof of Indrajal comics's Bahadur and Fauladi Singh.Anyone here got any scans with dates please post it here or on my talk page.--asydwaters 16:22, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Yo, whoever removed them, stop it - they are published, and based in India!

[edit] Bad article

I very highly doubt the neutrality of this article. It states that Japanese manga are more developed than their western counterparts as almost a fact, which - besides being ridiculous - has absolutely no place in an article about Indian comics.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:RajComicsUniverse.gif

Image:RajComicsUniverse.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
