Friends, I renamed this page from Indian Ocean states to Indian Ocean Island States as previous name was misleading, as one could infer it to be a page mentioning all the territories bordering the Indian Ocean.

Is the Chagos Arxhipelago, currently without permanent population (unlike all the other island groups in the region), an island state? (Please note that "Island State" redirects to Island Country, and Chagos Archipelago or BIOT do not appear on the list) --Maurice45 (talk) 11:52, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
