Talk:India/Rotation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Note - This is a start. We could probably start collecting a pool of pics with 'potential' on a sub-page like this. i'm assuming saravask's mechanism can then draw from this pool and take it from there. This subpage could stay here or could be moved to a suitable location under Portal:India. People who add pics to this pool should also try and add a meaningful caption highlighting the salient features of the pic. Wherever possible, try to highlight how it is special on a national/international level. For example, for the andaman pic, I can think of connecting it to some of India's most isolated tribes and/or the tsunami. The kerala backwaters pic, I can think of connecting them to the successful Kerala tourism industry... etc.,. Sarvagnya 01:43, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Also note - I have created place holders for couple of sections like "Transport" and "Religion" below. Neither of these sections exist(yet) in the article. Transport section should surely make it to the article but Religion is still iffy. Eventually, if we decide not to have a "Religion" section, pictures under "Religion" can be clubbed with "Culture" or depending on the pic, maybe even "History". Note - Now.. there's a niggling detail here. While at this, let's go that extra mile and also make sure that we not only rotate the pics, but that we also do it in a way that no state gets left behind. What this would mean is that we create a subpage for each of the sections(geography, history, culture etc.,) below and then, on those sub-pages we will have to have galleries sorted state-wise. Tedious as it may seem, I think the effort will be worth its weight in gold. Sarvagnya 02:13, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
